Asustor to Showcase Haswell Xeon- and Core i3-Powered Rackmount NAS

And ADM 2.2 OS

ASUSTOR Inc. will showcase its series of NAS devices at Computex 2014 in Taipei, Taiwan.

In addition to exhibiting the 6/3/2 series tower and rackmount models powered by Intel Atom dual core processors, the company will also be introducing its enterprise 7 series rackmount devices (AS7009RD/AS7009RDX/AS7012RD/AS7012RDX), which feature Intel Haswell Xeon and Core i3 processors. Also being introduced, will be an rackmount model, the AS-204RS and two other tower model devices powered by Intel Core i3 processors, the AS7008T and AS7010T.

The exhibition will feature live demonstrations of its ADM 2.2 OS which features upgrades to functions, the portal HDMI platform (integrating multimedia playback, web browsing, the ADM web interface, and surveillance feeds), and the in-house developed NAS and mobile apps. All users and interested parties are invited to visit ASUSTOR in order to experience the NAS technology and concepts firsthand.

Introduction to ADM 2.2
The ADM NAS OS is designed around an app-based concept. It allows beginners to create a customized cloud storage space for themselves to share multimedia, photos and files. The latest version will provide users with a host of surprises including upgrades to ASUSTOR portal which includes direct access to NAS power controls, customizable screensavers, and support for input with non-American keyboards. The DAC device compatibility provides for an optimized listening experience, while the MyArchive storage technology allows users to use HDDs as removable storage archives.

MyArchive provides ‘plug and play’ convenience as users are free to swap between different data collections and even share terabytes of media archives with friends. This allows for increased transfer performance and the expandability of storage on the NAS. It also allows users to save power by not having their NAS HDDs or an external drive attached to the NAS always powered on. It will also include a File Explorer which will feature small, medium and large thumbnail previews, and the mounting of local computer HDDs for one stop file management and transfers.

It will feature Windows ACL support and ASUSTOR in-house developed apps such as mail server, photo gallery, which includes its corresponding mobile app AiPhoto and social media photo sharing, cloud storage services HiDrive and Google Drive and a TV program recorder. Upgrades to existing apps include surveillance center 2.1 which will feature IVA (Intelligent Video Analytics) support, user defined cameras via RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol) support, camera patrol monitoring, additional camera channels via purchasable licenses (maximum 8-12 channels), compatibility with Mac and Windows, the new AiWatch mobile app and the ability to view video feeds via ASUSTOR portal. Download Helper will integrate both Takeasy and torrent downloads while providing users with management of tasks.
