Sans Digital 16Gb FC RAID Rackmount Enclosures

Sans Digital, Inc. announced its line of 16Gb FC hardware RAID rackmount storage enclosures.

The 16G FC models includes 2U 12 bay, 3U 16Gb bay, and 4U 24 bay with single RAID controller or dual RAID redundant controller options. Specifically designed for short to long distance high level performance for applications such as HD, 2K, and 4K video editing and broadcasting, the rackmount enclosures doubles the existing 8Gb FC connections. Able to reach up to 1,600MB/s (400K IO/s) with a single connection or up to 6,000MB/s (800K IO/s) using four connections with the redundant RAID controller option.

The series are designed with HA in mind to avoid a single point of failure with modularized design such as hot-swappable RAID controllers, cooling fans, and power supplies. Built-in RAID functions support up to RAID-6 to help to uninterrupted operation even in the event of up to two HDD failures.

With hot-swappable components and HDD failure protection from RAID. The 16G FC connection is backwards compatible with current 8Gb FC for deployments on existing FC environments. Expansion port is integrated into the rackmount enclosure for JBOD enclosures (AccuSTOR series) with up to 120 drives (480TB) per RAID controller (up to 240 drives/960TB). The design provides scalability and future proof deployment. Supporting both SAS and SATA interface, with support for 3.5″ HDDs, 2.5″ HDDs, and SSD. Using the dedicated RAID IO processor and internal web based user-interface, the AccuRAID series is OS independent. Supports major OSs including Windows, MAC, and Linux servers including virtualization platforms for VMware, Citrix, and Hyper-V for exceptional HA.

The AccuRAID AR212F16, AR316F16, and AR424F16 solutions are available and backed by 3-year limited warranty.

They features SAS/SATA to 16Gb Fibre-channel controller, while AccuRAID AR212F16R 2U 12-bay, AR316F16R 3U 16-bay, and AR424F16R 4U 24-bay features dual redundant controllers.
