Toshiba Presents Canvio Home Backup and Share NAS

Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc.) introduced the Canvio Home Backup & Share, a NAS hub for the connected home that brings together islands of content and allows access to digital assets.

Available in capacities up to 3TB, it enables the availability of content on a contextual basis, flowing from device to device, screen to screen and location to location.

It was designed to address past complications of storing files with software for all the most important functions. Once it’s up and running, users will have no trouble logging in and finding the files and other content they want, thanks to an application with a menu and interface. Unlike online backup solutions, it stores all of a user’s digital assets in a familiar, centralized place, not a remote unknown location. Whether users are away on business, across town, or even across the world, as long as there is an internet connection, content stored on the device is always accessible.

Between desktop computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones, there are countless ways to consume content across today’s digital playground. Users can count on the compatible Canvio Home to play right along with their digital lives. It works with most of the popular platforms on the market, including Windows PC’s, Mac computers, iPhone and iPad mobile digital devices and Android-based smartphones and tablets, as well as DLNA-compatible media streaming devices.
