Lexar Rolls Out 256GB USB 3.0 Flash Key

Lexar (Micron Consumer Products Group, Inc.) announced increased capacities to its line of JumpDrive USB 3.0 flash drives, adding a 128GB option to the Lexar JumpDrive P10, along with a 256GB option to the JumpDrive S73 USB 3.0 flash drive.

The increased capacities paired with the performance of USB 3.0 technology make these drives a solution for transporting or archiving files.

With more televisions and set-up-boxes allowing USB recording, higher capacity flash drives are essential for download and replay of favorite television shows,” said Aaron Lee, director of product marketing, Lexar. “In adding the 128GB and 256GB capacities to our USB 3.0 line of JumpDrives, Lexar is offering personal storage solutions that will provide users the ability to quickly and conveniently take their photos, videos, music, movies, and other important information with them, wherever they go.“

Up to 24 times faster than a USB 2.0 drive, it is a fast USB flash drives. The 128GB capacity boasts read speeds up to 265MB/s and write speeds up to 245MB/s for transfer of massive presentations and multimedia files. It features a metal alloy base and high-gloss mirror finish, as well as a retractable connector with thumb slide. Available in capacities of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, and now 128GB, it is a combination of durability and speed.

• Lexar JumpDrive S33

Up to four times faster than a USB 2.0 drive, the 128GB option offers read speeds up to 100MB/s and write speeds up to 55MB/s. One of the smallest USB 3.0 drives available, it offers a slim design, a retractable connector, and is available in a range of colors and capacities, including orange (8GB), teal (16GB), green (32GB), purple (64GB), and black (128GB).

• Lexar JumpDrive S23

Able to transfer a 3GB HD movie in less than 90s, the 128GB S23 offers read speeds up to 100MB/s and write speeds up to 55MB/s. It features a slim, retractable design, includes a key ring, and is available in a range of capacity and colors, including orange (8GB), teal (16GB), green (32GB), purple (64GB), and black (128GB).

• Lexar JumpDrive S73

The 256GB S73 offers read speeds up to 90MB/s and write speeds up to 55MB/s. The S73 features a retractable design and comes in a range of colors and capacities, including blue (8GB), purple (16GB), orange (32GB), green (64GB), black (128GB), and white (256GB).

Each model is compatible with Mac and PC systems and undergoes testing in the Lexar Quality Labs, facilities with more than 1,100 digital devices, to ensure performance, quality, compatibility, and reliability.

The USB 3.0 flash drives will be available at the end of the first quarter of 2014.
