Paragon Updating to HDD to SSD Migration Software ($14)

Paragon Software Group, announced Paragon Migrate OS to SSD 4.0, a one-step tool to help with Windows systems migration to storage devices – SSDs and HDDs.

The software performs Windows migrations to HDD or SSD and downsizes to smaller capacity drives, thanks to data exclusion capabilities. You can transfer a live system with no impact to your work, and have your partitions aligned in the process, if needed. This release supports Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2 and comes with an interface that is compatible with the Windows 8 tile-oriented interface.

As PC users seek to take advantage of SSDs’ better access time, R/W speeds, and resistance to physical shock from drops, the challenge becomes moving massive amounts of data, applications and the OS from the existing HDD to a smaller SSD. The wizard simplifies the migration process, downsizing the source system volume and providing selection of specific files when migrating to smaller-capacity drives, and auto-aligning copied system partitions – without rebooting the system.
