Intermedia Launches SecuriSync for Businesses
File syncing and sharing service integrated with Office in cloud suite
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on November 1, 2013 at 3:12 pmMost file sync and share services are brought in by employees and force business owners to accept a tradeoff: improve collaboration and mobility for users but at the cost of added complexity and security concerns.
To solve this dilemma, Intermedia, Inc. has launched SecuriSync, a file collaboration service that gives users mobility without compromising control and protection for the IT department. It is as easy to use as Dropbox, but features the security and control businesses need.
Like many file sync and sharing services, it keeps files and folders synced in real-time across desktop and mobile device, enabling users to work wherever they happen to be. It allows sharing of files and folders with recipients both inside and outside the company. The strong control over sharing permissions, at-rest and in-transit encryption, remote wipe capabilities and a 99.999% SLA protects all user content.
Because it is managed using the HostPilot control panel, the single control panel used to manage all company’s services, IT administrators can leverage existing user settings and create administrative efficiencies across services. Further points of integration make it the choice for business users. Integration with Microsoft AD simplifies provisioning and onboarding processes, as well as leverages existing password policies. Integration with Outlook and Office through plug-ins brings the syncing and sharing capabilities directly to the applications employees use most frequently.
It’s integrated with Office in the cloud suite – eliminating the need for businesses to manage separate services for hosted Exchange, hosted PBX, Office and other IT collaboration applications.
For resellers, it’s a partner-friendly file sync and share service. The service is gray-labeled to enable partners to own customer relationships. Billing, branding, bundling, pricing and every aspect of a customer’s experience is controlled by the partner. As a business solution in a growing and visible category, it is easy to sell. It’s managed through the partner portal. And it integrates with a partner’sn customer offering.
“SecuriSync finally gives users a file sync and share solution that’s as simple to use as Dropbox, with the control and security that business customers demand,” said Michael Gold, president, Intermedia. “This service is consistent with our vision of providing small and medium-sized businesses with a tightly integrated suite of critical cloud IT services. And, unlike other services in the market, SecuriSync can be gray-labeled so partners can fully own their customer relationships, including full control over all features of a customer’s SecuriSync experience, such as billing, branding, pricing and more.”
“We can, for the first time, respond positively to requests from our customers who are looking for a file sync and share solution we can deploy in their businesses,” said Shawn Freeman, owner at TWT Group Inc. Intermedia partner. “We deployed our gray-labeled SecuriSync solution very quickly, building on the organizational knowledge we already had. The customer appreciates the control and ease of management, while the increase in revenue from an added service helps us grow our business.”
SecuriSync is available for purchase and for resell. Customers can try it risk-free for 30 days.
