Infortrend: EonStor DS 3000 Series

Infortrend Technology, Inc. released EonStor DS 3000 series products.

The models deliver high speed performance coupled with media scanning, error correction, and data recovery. They offer host board choices (8G/16G FC, 10GbE iSCSI, and 6Gb SAS), and ensure HA and reliability with a modular redundant hardware design. For better management, the company has developed the SANWatch 3.0 browser-based interface for the energy-saving EonStor DS 3000 series.

The products accelerate operations such as volume rebuild. For example, a 4TB NL-SAS drive can be rebuilt in nine hours, or 57% quicker than was possible on previous generations. Rebuild processes can be scheduled to take place automatically during off-peak periods, so they do not impact productivity or system performance. At up to 350K IO/s read with SSD support, the DS 3000 series delivers storage capabilities and high-end processing power.

Customers can rely on HA due to dual controllers and power supplies, which prevent system outage and enable failover. Components are hot-swappable, with maintenance and upgrades. For scalability, it affords high density expansion, fitting up to 360 drives.

Products ship with the SANWatch 3.0 UI, which is more accessible and comprehensive than preceding versions. It offers system status messages to expedite maintenance, management, and troubleshooting, helping customers save time. All models include a thin provisioning license. They are also eco-friendly, featuring drive spin-down to reduce energy consumption when activity is low, which also extends drive lifespan. Power supplies are all 80 PLUS.
