DVDFab Rolls Out Blu-Ray Ripping/Conversion Technology

DVDFab (Fengtao Software Inc.) rolled out Lightning Shrink.

This GPU Shrink technology is capable of cutting Blu-ray ripping/conversion time down to less than one hour against the normal overnight process.

What is Lightning Shrink?
It takes advantages of nVIDIA s CUDA acceleration and Intel Quick Sync to decrease the time spent on ripping or converting Blu-ray movies to within one hour. It is used in DVDFab Blu-ray Copy and Blu-ray Ripper, as far as Blu-ray decoding and recoding are involved.

Explanation of  Within One Hour
Not all Blu-ray ripping/conversion tasks can be done within one hour. The technology can only deliver within one hour performance in the following cases:

• Ripping a commercial BD onto computer HDD as an ISO image file and with compression involved;

• Compressing an existing Blu-ray ISO image file on computer HDD into BD25 size.

Working Environment of Lightning Shrink
Lightning Shrink is effective as long as your computer is armed with 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation Intel Core processors, or nVIADIA s CUDA capable graphics cards.
