This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on May 11, 2016 at 2:56 pmSerial Cables LLC announced the availability of the PCI-ENC8G-024U.
Using dual PEX9781 Capella 2 Broadcom Gen3 low latency based switch boards, the PCI-ENC8G-024U JBOD is configurable, compact, and supports up to 24×2.5″ NVMe drives.
Based on Broadcom Limited‘s PEX9781, the PCI-ENC8G-024U is configurable for various user environments, including different topologies or NVMe implementations. Using company’s robust and low cost cabling and host connectivity, it supports both single-server and multiple-server access to all available drives. Additionally, when used with firm’s existing line of NVMe host adapters, the PCI-ENC8G-024U already supports emerging NVMe standards, including SRIS and SRNS.
“This JBOD was developed for both test and production storage environments and is highly configurable” says Paul J. Mutschler, CEO, Serial Cables “The user can easily switch between HA (one to many) or multi-host (many to many) configurations using simple SAS type SFF-8644 cabling.“
The PCI-ENC8G-024U ships in a 19-inch 2U rack mountable half-length enclosure with dual redundant 800W power supplies and excellent cooling characteristics.
