Sans Digital will be releasing a line of rackmount and desktop enclosures with the new Intel Thunderbolt interface.

The Thunderbolt technology is the latest, high-speed, dual-protocol I/O technology designed for its simplicity, flexibility, and most of all its performance. This interface technology is capable of delivering of 10Gb/s (1.25GB/s) of performance per port. It is the fastest way to transfer data between a computer and its data storage devices. The Thunderbolt technology together with Sans Digital's line of data storage devices will be able to deliver throughout and reliability for computers equipped with the Thunderbolt interface.

Today, data storage need is increasing at an all time rate. The need for a fast and reliable storage is becoming more of a necessity. Providing both JBOD and RAID capabilities, the Sans Digital Thunderbolt product line help provide the user a safe and reliable external storage, essential for protecting their music, photos, videos, and other valuable data. Thunderbolt interface provides business and end-users a large data storage capacity and fast performance for many software's such as Final Cut Pro, Avid, iTunes, iPhoto, and Photoshop.

Available in Q2 of 2012, Sans Digital will be offering storage products starting from the 2-bay MobileRAID MR2TB+, the 4-bay TowerRAID+ TR4TB+, and the 8-bay TR8TB+. For both the enterprise level users and creative professionals alike, the company also offers a rackmountable solution aptly named the EliteRAID ER104TB+ (4-bay, 1U) and the EliteRAID ER208TB+ (8-bay, 2U). With performance rates of over 600 MB/s on the 4-bay enclosures and over 800 MB/s on the 8-bay models, the MobileRAID / TowerRAID+ Thunderbolt tower and EliteRAID Thunderbolt rackmount product line will be able to deliver the performance that many professionals need for from their Mac and PC devices.
