RAID Inc. Launches 12Gb SAS/SATA 4U Enterprise JBOD With 84 Bays

The 4U 84-bay 12Gb SAS/SATA Ability EBOD (enterprise JBOD) solution enables data capacity applications, at a price/performance point per gigabyte that meets the fast-moving requirements of business.
Besides functioning as a standalone external DAS JBOD for standard SAS host connect, it is an expansion companion for other company’s storage products. It is for Microsoft 2012R2 Storage Spaces, ZFS, Luster/ZFS and GPFS Solutions.
With up to 84 3.5″ 7.200rpm SAS/SATA HDDs)or a combination of 2.5″ 10,000rpm SAS/SSDs per 4U enclosure, the EBOD can be used for drive tiering between SSD and spinning disk, and can be zoned up to four different DAS hosts or four different zones for performance or security.
This JBOD has eight 12Gb SAS ports capable of handling over 32Gb/s.
