Coupled with the high-capacity storage of QNAP NAS, tone-tuning function, an optimized user-interface design, and HDMI output, OceanKTV transforms a QNAP NAS into a karaoke system to provide users with a relaxing and affordable karaoke experience.

We have introduced various applications for QNAP NAS with HDMI-out, and OceanKTV is another out-of-the-box feature developed for NAS multimedia applications,” said Marcus Yang, product manager, QNAP NAS. “Users buy a NAS as a personal cloud for secure file storage, backup and sharing, and at the same time get a free karaoke system with the built-in OceanKTV app.”

OceanKTV’s management system provides a tool for operating and managing karaoke functions, including song requests, inter-cut, audio control, sound effects, and more.

With the potential of storing countless hours of 1080p karaoke songs on a QNAP NAS, users can enjoy singing with OceanKTV on an HDMI display, and use tablet devices as remote controls to browse song lists and requests.

OceanKTV is designed to provide a quality and customized karaoke experience. Whether singing alone or with friends and families, it can flexibly create different singing atmospheres with five UI themes. With the OceanKTV iOS and Android mobile app, users can turn their tablet devices into remote controls to control the entire experience.

OceanKTV is currently available for the TS-x53A series (including TS-253A, TS-453A, TS-653A and TS-853A) that have two 6.3mm dynamic microphone jacks for connecting up to two dynamic microphones. The series is equipped with a 20-bit analog-to-digital converter and has a 24-bit digital to analog converter that can send audio signals via the Line Out jack to an amplifier and deliver clearer stereo sound.

OceanKTV beta is available from the QTS App Center. OceanKTV Client for Android is available from Google Play; the iOS version will soon be available from App Store.
