IBM System Storage DCS3700 Expansion Unit

IBM System Storage DCS3700 expansion unit offers support for the new 6TB 7,200rpm 6GB NL-SAS 3.5-inch HDD with T10 PI for clients looking for high-performance, high-capacity, mission-critical drive options.

The System Storage DCS3700 expansion unit now offers the following drives:

• 1.6TB 2.5-inch SAS SSD with 6GB SAS interfaces
• 6TB 7,200 rpm 6GB NL-SAS 3.5-inch HDD

DCS3700 expansion unit also offers the following SAS cables:

• 1.5m SAS cable (mSAS HD to mSAS)
• 3m SAS cable (mSAS HD to mSAS)

Key prerequisites
These new SSD and HDD options are supported on their respective DCS3700 expansion enclosure and require Controller Firmware (CFW) version 8.2. T10 PI functionality also requires CFW version 8.2.
