IBM System Storage DCS3700 and DCS3860 deliver support for new 8 TB disk drives for a higher capacity option

DCS3700 and DCS3860 offer support for new 8TB 7,200rpm 6Gb SAS nearline 3.5-inch HDD drives that increases physical capacity by up to 33% over the previous generation drive.

Key prerequisites
The drive is supported on the DCS3700 and DCS3860 controller and expansion unit. It requires Controller Firmware (CFW) V8.20, or later.
