IBM FlashSystem 840 and V840 With 1,300W Power Supply Option
And GUI productivity enhancements
This is a Press Release edited by StorageNewsletter.com on October 15, 2014 at 3:04 pmThe 1,300W power supply for high-line voltage provides IBM FlashSystem 840 and V840 systems with a high-power alternative to run at maximum performance for longer durations during power supply servicing, resulting in more predictable performance under unexpected failure conditions.
While FlashSystem 840 and V840 already offers improved data economics, upgrading to a 1,300W power supply facilitates performance at a higher level, thereby increasing ROI.
Additional FlashSystem 840 management software improvements will make system management and performance health monitoring more effective in FlashSystem’s GUI.
Additional features include:
300 days of performance data with pan and zoom capability to better identify and research trends
Five predefined graphs showing system IO/s, latency, bandwidth, total port IO/s, and queue depth
Key prerequisites
There must be an operational IBM FlashSystem 840 or IBM FlashSystem V840 system for power supply attachment.
Planned availability date: December 5, 2014
