The RocketStor 6314A comes loaded with a RAID feature set, performance, and the reliability of hardware RAID storage, without the enterprise price tag. The compact tower enclosure and built-in RAID-on-Chip architecture supports fast, reliable RAID-5 configurations, yet is light enough for portable applications. The brushed aluminum chassis features dual 20Gb/s Thunderbolt 2 ports and four removable hot-swap bays , which support any 2.5″ or 3.5″ enterprise/NAS class SATA/SAS HDD or SSD of your choice, and up to 32TB of total storage capacity in hardware RAID-0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD configurations.

Open-Box storage approach
The RocketStor 6314A is an affordable, professional grade hardware RAID solution with an ‘open-box’ approach to storage applications. Customers have the freedom to use their choice of SAS or SATA storage device; SSD’s for performance or large HDDs for maximum capacity, from all RAID and NAS class HDD brands including HGST, Seagate, Toshiba and WDC. Customers can pair the RocketStor 6314A with four enterprise grade 8TB HDDs of their choices.

Performance
Company’s hardware RAID-on-Chip architecture incorporates dedicated ARM based processors and RAID-5/6 CRC32 engines with internal DDR3 memory to optimize transfer speeds and accelerate access times. This allows RocketStor 6314A to work independently and minimize the storage configuration’s impact on the computing platform’s resources, thereby enhancing performance for the entire system.

DV Mode Technology intelligently manages the flow of large data blocks and write-back caching in order to minimize latency and ensure consistent, sustained high-performance transfers for rich media applications.

Data availability and security
The RocketStor 6341A RAID Management includes our SHI (Storage Health Inspector) utility suite. SHI allows customers to manage and monitor the health and status of each individual drive, and initialize or schedule verification sessions to check the integrity of RAID arrays. It can dynamically repair or remap disks on the fly, and initiate RAID rebuild sessions automatically, to ensure your storage remains ready and able.

Comprehensive and user management suite
RocketStor 6314A’s user-friendly web-based management interface is available for Windows and Mac OSX OSs. Novices and experts alike, can configure, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot RAID configurations and individual storage devices, all from a single, unified software suite. Advanced management features allow customers to configure email notification to inform one or more users of changing storage conditions while outside of the work environment, and manage storage remotely via a local network connection.

Moreover, the RocketStor 6314A provides advanced configuration features for customers that need to fine tune storage for specific applications, such as multiple RAID arrays, RAID rebuild priority, RAID block size selection, and DV mode.

The RocketStor6314A will be available from company’s North American retail and distribution partners starting in July 2015 at MSRP $699.
