Arkologic All-Flash NAS With Record SPEC SFS Benchmark Result

Beating EMC and NetApp

Arkologic Corporation announced the publication of an industry standard NFS benchmark demonstrating the fastest Overall Response Time (ORT) ever achieved by an NFS server storage appliance.

The SPECsfs2008 benchmark was conducted using Arkologic’s all-flash SMA 8100 system, which delivered an overall system response time of 0.33ms, more than twice as fast any of the previous benchmark submissions made by vendors such as EMC and NetApp.

Our systems are designed to deliver blistering performance for the most demanding, compute-intensive environments,” said Tom Chin, CEO, Arkologic. “The most important metric to consider in increasing overall application performance is the time it typically takes a storage system to respond to an application’s request for data. This benchmark result shows that our SMA 8100 system has the ability to respond to these requests in less than half the time it takes our competitors systems to do so.”

The SMA 8100 is targeted toward performance-demanding compute infrastructures such as those found in the EDA, manufacturing, CGI, and biotechnology industries. The speed of the SMA 8100 can enable these customers to reduce product developments cycles, increase productivity, and lower overall costs.
