16Gb FC All-Flash Arrays NeoSapphire 3605 and 3611 by AccelStor

AccelStor, Inc. announced the new NeoSapphire 3605 and NeoSapphire 3611, a pair of dedicated all-flash arrays with dual-port 16Gb FC interfaces and sustained 360K IO/s for 4KB random writes.

The low latency and high reliability of FC makes these new arrays for demanding, time-critical applications including banking, finance, and media production. Reliability is enhanced by hot-swappable drives and redundant power supplies.

Optimized Low-Latency Performance for SANs
The FC interfaces ensure low latency for SANs. Dual-port 16Gb FC, and backward compatibility with 8Gb, makes these arrays easy to integrate into existing SANs for applications such as banking and media production. Multipathing features allow connection redundancy for I/O balance, fail-over, and seamless fault recovery. These features boost IT staff productivity and make deployment easier.

20 Drives in 1U Rack Space
The NeoSapphire 3611’s all-flash hardware design makes it a compact storage solution, with 20 trays of SSDs in a single rack unit. It offers a substantial saving of rack space, compared to traditional arrays and competing products, and allows extra room for future expansion, making it a choice when upgrading from traditional storage devices. The NeoSapphire 3605 offers 10 trays of SSDs in 1U rack space.

Sustained 360,000 IO/s for 4KB Random Writes
Deploying a NeoSapphire 3605 or 3611 all-flash array can provide transfer speeds up to 3 times faster than traditional mechanical HDD drives. As for random I/O processing, sustained performance of 360,000 IO/s helps resolve the storage bottlenecks that often hamstring operations such as server virtualization and database traversal.

Thin provisioning keeps physical storage needs to a minimum at the initial deployment stage, avoiding the need to add storage hardware until it is really required. In addition, zero-page deduplication purges empty pages to save valuable flash capacity.
