Stealthy Start-Up Stellus Technologies in SSDs for Servers

It will be responsible for manufacturing and selling solid state storage for servers, and will also developed its own software.
This 100% subsidiary of Samsung Electronics was born in December 2015 and is located in Menlo Park, CA. That’s all we know about this company up to now.
Is Stellus really a start-up? Some of them have been helped financially by storage vendors. But here the company is totally owned by just one firm, Samsung Electronics.
Some people of Stellus include:
- Dan Neault president and CEO, was SVP of Samsung Strategy and Innovation Center (SSIC). He was formerly SVP, datacenter solutions group (partners, solutions, and enablement) at NetApp after working at Microsoft.
- Marc Leavitt, also at Stellus was marketing director for QLogic, and also worked at Cisco.
- Brocade, EMC, Vixel, Adaptec, and Western Digital.
- Bijaya Singh senior staff QA engineer also was at SSIC, after NetApp and Novell.
- James Duran, talent acquisition consultant, is another one coming from SSIC.
- Zi-Shun Huang, senior software engineer, was previously at AgilitySphere (QLogic).
