SDNsquare Closes €1.5 million Investment Round

Ghent, Belgium-based SDNsquare NV, previously known as Candit-Media bvba and provider of software defined networking (SDN) solutions, has closed a €1.5 million investment round led by the investment and advisory firm Merapar Advisory B.V.

The company offers high performance storage and network products for the media industry
which is increasingly challenged by performance and reliability issues in handling large
media files.

The funding will allow the company to accelerate both its international expansion and the deployment of ‘the grid’. This product optimises the utilisation of network capacity through automated provisioning of end to end IP flows without packet loss. SDNsquare aims to become the global standard for SDN software in ‘mission critical environments’.

Merapar targets early-stage companies in the technology, media and telecom sectors.
