The co-inventors are Samdeep Nayak, Wenhua Liu, Sunnyvale, CA, Chiao-Chuan Shih, San Jose, CA, Anne Marie Merritt, and Xiangdong G. Huang, Sunnyvale, CA.
The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: “A computer-implemented method for management of a VM in a SAN (SAN) environment. A plurality of SAN devices for the VM are discovered by a management server. Performance statistics for the plurality of SAN devices are monitored at the management server. Health of the VM is determined based at least in part on the performance statistics for the plurality of SAN devices at the management server.“
The patent application was filed on Aug. 17, 2012 (13/588,626).
