VitalEdge vCenter for VMware From Indian Vital Labs

Vital Labs, Inc., in storage management solution, announced the integration of VitalEdge vCenter plug-in for VMware, with NexentaStor 4.0.3 storage platform from Nexenta Systems, Inc.

This vCenter plug-in helps reduce storage manageability costs, improve protection, and streamline NAS and SAN datastore management in vSphere environments. With this unified platform and integration with VitalEdgevCenter plug-in, Nexenta customers get data management and storage optimization for VSphere environment.

• Monitor and Discovery: Admins can monitor performance and health of the storage volume, and associated LUNs of datastores.Admin can also monitor disk read write IOs, throughput, latency etc without leaving vSphere web console.It can also discover vital properties of the LUN mapped to datastore such as size, number of snapshots,creation time, sync policy, protection policy etc.
• DataStore Provisioning: Admins can provision NAS or SAN datastores in one click. This plug-in will create volume, LUNs, NFSfolder at storage side and seamlessly attach as datastore to one or more ESX.
• Data Protection: Admins can use NexentaStor snapshot/restore technology to backup and restore of NAS and SAN datastore in VMware environment.
