Tivoli Storage Productivity Center V5.2.5

Boosts storage intelligence with improved alerting and Elastic Storage support.

IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center V5.2.5, as part of the continuous delivery of software functions for V5.2, provides visibility to your entire storage infrastructure.

This release improves storage management by centralizing, simplifying, automating, and optimizing storage tasks associated with storage systems, DR, storage networks, and capacity management.

Tivoli Storage Productivity Center is designed to provide device management capabilities such as automated system discovery, data replication, configuration, and performance monitoring for storage systems and storage networks.

New in Tivoli Storage Productivity Center since V5.2.0:

  • Model and organize storage monitoring and management by the application and business department
  • View more data path information on server or hypervisor disks, get information about VM Disks (VMDKs), and get views of snapshots, inodes, resources, and status changes when monitoring GPFS Storage Server (GSS) and General Parallel File System (GPFS) storage
  • Correlate GSS and GPFS clusters with related fabrics and switches, and view the GPFS file systems mounted and their quotas
  • For replication, create multiple target sessions for IBM System Storage DS8000 storage systems, and define port pairings for logical paths
  • Monitor IBM FlashSystem V840 Enterprise Performance Solution systems
  • View capacity usage by storage tier in the GUI, and enhance troubleshooting with charts showing the most problematic ports and the most pervasive errors
  • Customize the web page login screen with personalized instructions to users
Get information about N_Port ID Virtualization (NPIV) connections between server ports and switch ports in a fabric, and identify iSCSI ports
  • Troubleshoot performance more effectively with additional reported metrics
  • For replication, customize the sessions list and take advantage of other improvements to the GUI
  • Configure global default notification settings for alerts

Planned availability date
