Tabernus Enterprise Erase LAN Software Update Concurrently Erases Over 500 Computers

Tabernus LLC has released it’s update of Enterprise Erase LAN 7.3.

Enterprise Erase LAN is a solution for high-volume erasure of HDDs within laptops, desktops and small servers over a discrete network.

“The latest release of our flagship product Enterprise Erase LAN is more scalable than ever supporting well over 500 concurrent system erasures,” comments Daniel Dyer, VP, global operations, Tabernus. “But, in addition, our software development team made to many productivity improvements that allow our customers to customize their software experience and automating the process in ways that save money and provide value to the upstream clients,” continues Dyer.

Features Enterprise Erase LAN 7.3:

Networking infrastructure: Customers can process over ~500 client computers simultaneously without concern of network load.
Unlimited custom fields: Customers can add virtually as many customized fields to tailor the Tabernus solution to match their internal process. Fields can be added and edited during in process erasure.
Set automatic wiping and default wipe level from the server GUI: Easy to use, no editing of configuration files for end user allow customers to quickly change between automated erasure levels.
Configuration profiles: Configuration profiles support customization where customers can save time with setting defaults in the system to expedite processing. Examples are setting Default Employee IDs, Default Wipe Level, automatic wiping, and a hold for the operator to fill in asset details before logging to the database.
S.M.A.R.T. test before erasure: Enhanced support for HDD health check. Software will fail drive and not proceed with the erasure if the drive fails the S.M.A.R.T health check.

Improved key based licensing scheme: A faster, less error prone, method of licensing has been instituted that allows end users to license 24/7 over a web portal manager or via a phone call with support resource. No expensive dongles are used in the licensing process.
Ejecting optical drive: Mechanical test that allows operators to remove any media from optical peripheral
Fingerprinting time stamps and company information on HDD with raw text or a bootable fingerprint
Enhanced support of 520B block size drives
