SEP Software Announces V4.4 of sesam Backup and DR Solutions

SEP Software Corp. announced its backup and DR solution, SEP sesam.

With version 4.4, users will see support for SAP HANA, Windows Server 2012 R2, Exchange Server 2013 Service Pack 1, Novell GroupWise 2014 and enhanced support for vSphere which includes Instant VM Recovery and improvements to its single-item restore functionality. This release also has improvements and increased functionality to Si3 Deduplication DataStores and Replication.

Adding support for SAP HANA builds on SEP’s existing support for SAP and provides a component for both existing and future enterprise customers. Using SAP’s BACKINT interface in conjunction with SEP’s Multi-Streaming Technology has enabled SEP to provide the fastest backups for SAP HANA in the industry.

Instant VM Recovery for VMware eliminates downtime and provides a higher level of BC than previously available. Users are able to restart VMs without having to wait for restores.

It also comes equipped with Si3 in-line de-dupe for Linux. This functionality utilizes disk space and reduces storage costs while consolidating Linux data. SEP’s dedupe module eliminates the need for other hardware or software dedupe solutions. The new release offers an enhanced GUI and further customization options to give users more control of their daily backups.
