Raidix Showcases ExaSphere

Raidix LLC‘ storage software is tailored to fit all kinds of media and entertainment industry tasks.

This year, at NAB show the company showcased ExaSphere, a brand product, designed to fulfil video professionals’ demand for robust and reliable media storage.

ExaSphere – scale-out storage solution is exploited to reduce costs in a data-intensive environment. The solution allows you to start small and grow storage capacity alongside actual needs and data expansion.

The technology supports dynamic cluster configuration: same data can be accessed via shared SAN or scale-out NAS storage protocols. The firm allows the creation of multiple file systems that share a single pool of available storage and provides instruments to maintain the user access control. Metadata management is simple due to dynamic space allocation.

ExaSphere grants universal scalability and limitless expansion while being managed as a single storage resource. Maximum file system size – 18 mln TB; maximum file size – 9 mln TB.

This year, the company hold a live demo showing ExaSphere at Echostreams Innovative Solutions, LLC ‘ booth. The chosen demo scenario displayed real time editing of up to four concurrent 4K video streams at two  editing stations. You can become a witness of how the system easily manages the tasks and as we imitate the failure and pull out a number of HDDs, the system keeps going no matter what. No dropped frames from now on.
