Alike v4.0 introduces a web-based management console and backup vaulting to Amazon S3 storage, both of which enable Alike to protect cloud assets and leverage the cloud as a backup medium.

Alike’s Offsite Vaulting capabilities are extended in Alike 4.0, parlaying Alike’s strength in data deduplication into cloud file storage. By supporting global data deduplication of all VM backup data to an Amazon S3 bucket, Alike 4.0 offers an efficient and scalable way to protect the modern heterogeneous virtual environment. With improved support for SMB/CIFS vaulting, Alike 4.0 can also implement DR from either a traditional network disk or from the cloud.
