Panasas SiteSync Software

Panasas, Inc. announced SiteSync, a high-speed, parallel replication and file transfer solution that solves the challenge of moving massive data sets across the LAN quickly and with ease.

Designed for use with the Panasas ActiveStor high-performance hybrid storage appliance, the software can replicate data up to 10x faster than conventional file transfer utilities. It provides customers with fast and flexible parallel data migration and synchronization for DR, disk-to-disk backup and remote archive applications.

“SiteSync is the scale-out answer to big data replication,” said Geoffrey Noer, VP of product management, Panasas. “Traditional approaches were not designed to transfer large quantities of unstructured data. SiteSync solves this problem by delivering unmatched performance at scale, enabling IT organizations to migrate even their biggest data stores quickly and easily.”

Optimized for high-speed data replication and synchronization across the LAN, SiteSync provides reliable, performance data transfer capabilities.

Panasas customers upgrading to PanFS 6.0 with RAID-6+, or transferring data to or from third party storage systems, will benefit from SiteSync’s parallel migration capabilities.

SiteSync is available to Panasas customers using ActiveStor systems with the PanFS 6.0 OS.

The company will demonstrate its ActiveStor 16 appliance at the Supercomputing Conference (SC14) November 17-20.
