Novosoft: Handy Backup 7.6.7

Novosoft, LLC announces the version 7.6.7 of the company’s software solution, Handy Backup.

This version expands an automation of different backup processes, from local and remote setup to multi-machine backup of data distributed over the single domain. Since this version, 32- and 64-bit editions of Handy Backup are distributed in one single file, requiring no manual specifications from users downloading the package.

“Such server features as deep integration with Oracle 12c, improved restoration of MySQL databases to another place than original, and extended hot backup functions for Hyper-V VMs are added in this version. Administrators can now set up the connections with remote machines located on the same domain as the management computer with no more than five clicks. We are also adding a bonus to all our clients purchasing a copy of Handy Backup 7.6.7 and planning to use it for regular disk image backups»,  said Alexey Dolgushev, head business development department, Handy Backup.

This version of Handy Backup packed to one single installation file, requiring no manual selection between ‘x32_ and ‘x64_ solutions. Instead, the installer selects the proper version automatically, depending of exact configuration of the target computer and/or OS. The procedure of remote installation for Network Agents backing up data from client machines in network editions is simplified and speeded up, too.

Many server backup software features are refined for providing more quickness and reliability.

These features include:

• Automatic restart of crashed or aborted program, to ensure the completion of all backup and restore tasks executed when the crash strikes;

• Integration with engine functions and components of Oracle 12c;

• Improved ‘hot’ backup for Hyper-V VM clusters;

• Advanced options and improved methods of restoration to places different from the original location for MySQL databases.

This version allows setting up the backup connection with client machines in network-oriented solutions with no more than five clicks. This feature, along with using the unified setup file and simplifying the network agent installation, makes the deployment of Handy Backup over the business-level network infrastructure more fast, reliable and comfortable.
