Migration of IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center Standard Edition V4.x Products to Spectrum Control Advanced Edition

New IBM Spectrum Control Advanced Edition (5725-Y23) trade-up part numbers and IBM Virtual Storage Center Entry Edition (5608-AP1) feature code are available for ordering

Migration of IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center Standard Edition V4.x products to IBM Spectrum Control Advanced Edition (5725-Y23) V5.2 is now available by ordering a trade-up part number through Passport Advantage.

A new feature code in the AAS ordering system will make it possible to order more than 250TB. This new feature code will order a quantity of 250TB of entitlements with the same price as 250 times the existing feature code used to order 1TB of entitlement for IBM Virtual Storage Center Entry Edition (5608-AP1).

Key prerequisites

  • A customer needs to own entitlements for IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center Standard Edition V4.x to be able to trade up to IBM Spectrum Control Advanced Edition 5.2.8.
  • The new Virtual Storage Center Entry Edition (5608-AP1) feature code can be used for initial orders or later upgrades.
  • Any IBM Virtual Storage Center product requires additional purchase of IBM SAN Volume Controller nodes.
