Datos IO Introduces RecoverX Scale-Out Data Protection Software

Datos IO, Inc. announced the availability of RecoverX, a scale-out data protection software for third platform (IDC 3rd Platform) applications and distributed databases.

With capabilities such as scalable versioning and industry-first semantic deduplication, RecoverX is ushering in a next-generation class of data protection solutions for the data-centric era of distributed database environments, including DataStax, Apache Cassandra and MongoDB.

Technology behind RecoverX: CODR
RecoverX is founded upon Consistent Orchestrated Distributed Recovery (CODR) architecture that is not dependent on media servers, and transfers data in parallel to and from file-based and object-based secondary storage. CODR delivers cluster-consistent backups that are highly space-efficient yet available in native formats. CODR allows RecoverX to provide scalable versioning that enables enterprises to protect both Apache Cassandra and MongoDB at any interval and granularity. It provides one-click recovery in minutes (not hours) for operational recovery and test/dev use, as well as semantic de-duplication to save up to 70% on secondary storage costs.

Systems compatibility
RecoverX supports Apache Cassandra (v2.0, v2.1), DataStax DSE (v4.5, v4.6, v4.7, v4.8) and MongoDB (v3.0, v3.2). It supports a variety of secondary storage options with NAS storage for on premise data protection requirements, Amazon S3 storage and Google Cloud Storage support for IaaS and PaaS environments.

RecoverX data protection software is available in standard and enterprise editions with annual subscription, with a free 14-day trial (usage limits on cluster size and database size apply) on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) based environments. Pricing is capacity based with no dependency on node count, thus enabling enterprises to scale their applications across a variety of cluster sizes.
