Caringo Offering Free Cloud Platform

Swarm Developer Cloud provides infrastructure for rapid experimentation and time to discovery for HPCs.

Caringo, Inc. announced that it will exhibit its Cloud and Object Storage Platform, suited for HPC and big data markets, at SC16 (the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis).

The company will be offering attendees a full-featured, S3-compliant version of its Swarm Developer Cloud and Object Storage platform. The VM-based bundle can be run self-contained on a laptop or desktop computer and can be used for rapid application development and evaluation.

Swarm reduces storage TCO by up to 75% and can store trillions of objects of any size without degradation of performance and with continuous, flexible data protection. The Swarm platform simplifies infrastructure, tenant and data management and is ideally suited for HPC workflow data including videos and images for visualization and simulations.

The ultimate goal of every one of our customers in the HPC space is to reduce their time to discovery and to optimize the resources they have, streamlining experimentation,” said Adrian Herrera, VP, marketing, Caringo. “Users can’t achieve this if they are constantly managing storage infrastructure, migrating data sets into different analysis platforms and trying to figure out how to provide secure research data access to end users and applications. At Caringo, we focus on enabling all of this in one platform so that research organizations can get rapid, cost-effective results.

Those who can’t make it to SC16 are welcome to join the company for their next webcast: Active Archive for HPC with Cloud and Object Storage. The webcast will review how organizations can use cloud and object storage to offload up to 90% of data from primary storage, cut storage TCO by 75% reduce backup administration and enable integration with next-gen applications and workflows.
