Atlantis Extends Hypervisor Support With Ilio for Hyper-V 3.0

Not only vSphere and Xenserver

Atlantis Computing, Inc., in software-defined storage for desktop virtualisation, announced its ILIO for Hyper-V3.0, a 100% software solution that delivers storage performance and capacity utilisation improvements for desktop virtualisation environments.

ILIO is a software-defined storage solution that can be deployed on any server with any storage and on any of the three major hypervisors: vSphere, Xenserver and Hyper-V.

ILIO for Hyper-V 3.0 is a software-only solution that allows Microsoft customers to reduce the cost, improve performance, and de-risk the implementation and deployment of VDI projects, regardless of the class of enterprise storage deployed.

The biggest challenge for IT when building VDI as a service for their organisation is balancing affordable acquisition costs while delivering an acceptable user experience for their lines of business. ILIO can make virtual desktops run faster than PCs, for less than the cost of a physical PC, which ensures successful projects and delivers on the original promise of VDI.

Atlantis Computing, with over 500,000 licenses sold, hundreds of mission critical implementations across banking, healthcare, insurance, retail, energy, education, Telco and government agencies globally, provides software-only solutions supporting any server or storage environment, purpose-built to solve the performance, cost, and deployment risks inherent in virtualised workloads.

The company simplifies the deployment, operationalisation, and management of any desktop virtualisation project at any scale with automation and deep expertise acquired during the delivery of some of the largest deployments in the world over the last 4 years.

Atlantis Computing also delivers high-performance, scalable provisioning technology that integrates transparently with existing workflows and integrates with existing virtualisation and storage infrastructure. Deployments are simplified with less storage to install and manage, less network storage traffic to handle, and fewer racks to deploy. Deployments are further de-risked with HA and DR capabilities.

Atlantis ILIO for Hyper-V 3.0 continues to deliver on our vision of supporting all major hypervisors,” said Bernard Harguindeguy, president and CEO, Atlantis Computing. “With this release, we continue delivering on our commitment to Microsoft’s Hyper-V virtualisation technology and further empower our customers to deliver successful VDI projects using their servers, storage, and hypervisor of choice.”
