Acronis Delivers Complete Data Protection Platform

Acronis International GmbH introduced the Data Protection Platform – a generation cloud platform that transforms the way data protection is delivered to end user customers by service providers, resellers and distributors.

The platform delivers a set of data protection solutions for backup, DR, and secure file sync and share. Empowering Acronis partners to tap into the growing and under-served market for cloud data protection services, the platform supports a range of deployment models, business models, and technology environments in use by service providers, resellers and distributors.

As part of this announcement, Acronis is releasing a version of company’s Backup Cloud, its cloud backup solution, and introducing Files Cloud, its file sync and share solution. The company is announcing the availability of company’s DR Service, its all-in-one solution for backup and DR.

Backup Cloud supports more systems and devices
Backup cloud is a cloud backup and recovery solution. This version of Backup Cloud is available worldwide and includes features, including:

• Expanded support for SQL, Exchange, and Mac OS X environments

• Initial seeding capabilities to easily move large volumes of data to the cloud

• Local backup recovery directly from within a centralized management console

Introducing Files Cloud for secure file, sync and share in cloud
Files Cloud provides office and mobile workers with safe file access, sync, and share (FSS) in an easy-to-use and secure cloud service. The solution helps service providers and partners quickly address the growing need for businesses to securely support BYOD and the rise of mobile workers. Unlike consumer-grade solutions including Box, Dropbox, and less secure FSS products, Files Cloud provides the ability to store documents and business files in a private cloud, while offering comprehensive security and controls – including encryption, audit trails, and user management. Files Cloud is available worldwide in English, German and Russian, with additional language support planned for later this year.

Global availability of DR Service
The company’s DR Service is an all-in-one hybrid cloud solution for backup and DR that protects files, servers, and entire data centers. With a focus on addressing both RPO and RTO, the solution is designed for companies that have low tolerance for data loss, downtime, or risk mitigation. Acronis DR is available worldwide.
