Kanguru

This partnership combines the security and performance of Kanguru Defender FIPS 140-2 certified, encrypted USB flash drives with the scanning capabilities of Tresys XD Air to provide enterprise organizations with method of scanning USB devices before allowing them back into their trusted network if used off-site.

This support adds another dynamic dimension of security to Kanguru Defender’s encrypted USB platform for use in government, military/defense, intelligence and enterprise clientele, achieving security of mobile data in a highly-secure environment.

We are pleased to add support for Kanguru encrypted USB drives to Tresys XD Air,” says Ken Walker, VP of products, Tresys. “Together, our products allow our customers to protect their data at rest, mitigate data born attacks, and gain greater control over the data entering and leaving their environment. Additionally, using Tresys XD Air to scan unknown devices and transferring the data to Kanguru drives will mitigate “badUSB”-type contamination while still allowing the use of removable media.

Deep Level Security Analysis For Kanguru Defender Secure Flash Drives
Tresys analysis technology supports the Kanguru Defender 2000 and Defender Elite200, two of the government certified secure flash drives. Both Defender hardware encrypted flash drives are FIPS 140-2 Certified, with the Defender 2000 achieving Level 3, and the Defender Elite200 achieving Level 2. These USB flash drives are also nearing the final stages of achieving Common Criteria, another accreditation process adopted by over 24 different certifying nations through the CCRA (Common Criteria Recognition Agreement). This evaluation examines and tests the full scope of security methods used in the design of Kanguru encrypted USB drives to ensure unprecedented security.

What Deep Level Security Analysis Does?
A deep-level security analysis plays a role in elevated security environments above and beyond virus scanning, to assist organizations with potential danger of malware attack without sacrificing convenience for mobile work environment. By offering Tresys Technology support, the USB flash drives undergo deep content inspection and a high-level of analysis to validate their ‘cleanliness’, and become established as fully trusted, ‘known good’ USB devices on the network.

By adding Tresys Technology support for high-security environments, Kanguru extends even greater confidence and value to Kanguru’s proven line of Defender secure, trusted hardware encrypted USB flash drives, providing the most comprehensive USB protection available.” says Don Brown, president and CEO, Kanguru.
