Philippe Spruch Left Storage Industry

Was Seagate EVP branded products and formerly LaCie co-founder and CEO.

spruchPhilippe Spruch left the storage industry he joinded in March 1989 as co-founder of French integrator LaCie (formerly Electronique D2) with Pierre Fournier, a company finally  sold to Seagate in 2012 for $186 million.

After 25 years at LaCie, he became EVP of branded products at Seagate he left last December.

Being for a long time an entrepreneur, it seemed difficult to see him working under the direction of somebody else. “No, it’s a cool job, even if I have a boss. I have signed a contract for a minimum of three years,” he answered just after the acquisition.

Based in Switzerland, he is a majority shareholder of Guy Degrenne and Montres Pequignet, and is a graduate of Ecole de Management de Strasbourg, France.
