Nikhil Korgaonkar Regional Sales director for India, Arcserve

He joins from Veritas.

Arcserve LLC appointed Nikhil Korgaonkar as regional sales director for India.

In this role, he will head up the data protection specialist’s sales efforts in India, a country Arcserve views as a key market.

He joins Arcserve from Veritas where he held a variety of management and alliance positions.

He has over 16 years’ experience, during which time he has focused on building and motivating cross-functional teams as well as managing and driving partner and customer relationships in a variety of industries.

At Veritas, he was responsible for revamping the channel sales team as well as building channel confidence and establishing the go-to-market strategy in India following the company’s split from Symantec.

Before joining Symantec in 2013, Korgaonkar spent over seven years in various regional leadership positions at Dell where he was recognised as one of the company’s most successful managers. Notable milestones in his tenure at Dell were the management and growth of the SMB business in India including driving the move to a hybrid model combining direct and indirect sales which led to significant productivity improvements.

In addition to his knowledge of the IT industry, he will also apply his cross-industry experience of working with multinational corporations in healthcare and international logistics sectors to his role at Arcserve.

He graduated as a Bachelor of Engineering (Instrumentation) from Mumbai University and holds a Masters degree in Management Studies from the Sydenham Institute of Management Studies. He is also an alumnus of INSEAD where he did his Executive MBA.

I am excited by the opportunity to apply my experience in helping customers overcome complex business challenges and achieve their corporate goals to my role at Arcserve,” said Korgaonkar. “The Indian data protection market is full of potential as companies scramble to make sure they have the right technologies in place not only to protect their data but stay compliant in the face of increasing numbers of national and international regulations. I relish the challenge of working closely with the channel to show customers and prospects how Arcserve data protection solutions will help them safeguard their assets now and in the future.”
