Nicola Kay Marketing Manager, SGL

And Joon Wong support engineer

Software Generation, Ltd, provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment, announced two new appointments as it continues to develop its marketing and engineering strategies.

Nicola Kay joins as marketing manager and Joon Wong as support engineer.
 
sgl Kay Kay will be responsible for supporting SGL’s marketing efforts globally. She joins SGL from Molex Premise Networks, where she held the post of marketing executive and was responsible for organising trade show-related activity and overseeing global PR. She has experience of providing PR and marcomms support to companies in the IT networking and maritime sectors and holds a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from De Montfort University.
 
On accepting her new position Kay said: “I’m really looking forward to working with the team at SGL and the new challenges that this role will bring. As there’s now greater convergence between the broadcast and IT worlds, my knowledge and experience of the IT sector will complement the industry expertise that the rest of the SGL team offers.”
 
sgl wong Wong joins from Avid, where he has held a number of engineering and support roles since 2006. Most recently he was a professional services instructor, focused on storage, post production asset management and on-air graphics systems. He will initially join the SGL support team, gaining knowledge of SGL products, then move on to installation and training in the APAC region, working with the global pre-sales team.
 
Commenting on his appointment he said: “I’m well versed with the specific needs of broadcast professionals in the APAC region, having worked closely with them for over seven years. SGL is well-respected through the industry and I look forward to joining the team and supporting SGL’s customers on the ground.”
 
SGL is a privately held archive management software company headquartered in Fareham, England. SGL has been in business since 1989 and the company has over 4,500 instances of its FlashNet product running around the world.
