Joan Wrabetz CTO, QualiSystems

QualiSystems Ltd., provider of DevOps orchestration and automation solutions for IT infrastructure, announced the appointment of Joan Wrabetz as the company’s CTO.

She most recently served as the VP and CTO for the EMC emerging products division. In that role, she was responsible for technology strategy and business development in the areas of cloud storage, converged infrastructure, and hybrid cloud management and orchestration.

“This announcement comes at a time of rapid growth for Qualisystems, with key partnerships in the converged infrastructure space with EMC, Mellanox, Brocade, and billions of dollars of infrastructure under management in Global 500 organizations including 11 of the top 20 global service providers and the four leading cable operators in North America,” said Lior Koriat, CEO. “The addition of experienced senior talent with proven skills in leading and scaling companies is strategic for the company. Previously, Wrabetz was the founder and CEO of data analytics company Aumni Data, and the former CEO of Tricord Systems (acquired by Adaptec). She also was the founder and CEO of Aggregate Computing (acquired by Platinum Technologies). In addition, she served as VP and GM for SAN operations at StorageTek. She has also been a venture partner at BlueStream Ventures, and she has served on the board of directors for many early stage technology companies.

She holds an MBA degree from the University of California, Berkeley, an MSEE from Stanford University, and BSEE from Yale University. She holds patents in load balancing, distributed systems, machine learning classification, and analytics.
