Jeetu Patel SVP of Platform and Chief Strategy Officer, Box

Box Inc. announced that Jeetu Patel has as SVP of platform and chief strategy officer.

He will report to Box co-founder and CEO, Aaron Levie, and lead Box’s platform organization, driving the strategy for platform business and developer relations. Box’s corporate development organization, which will continue to be led by Villi Iltchev, SVP of corporate development, will report to Patel.

Patel has more than 20 years of experience in enterprise information technology and was most recently with EMC, where he was GM and Chief Executive of the company’s Syncplicity business unit. He also previously held several leadership roles in EMC’s information intelligence group, including CMO, chief strategy officer and CTO. Prior to EMC, he was president of Doculabs, a research and advisory firm focused on collaboration and content management across industries including financial services, insurance, energy, manufacturing, and life sciences.
