Dr. Ta-lin Hsu Chairman, One, Inc.

One, Inc., provider of software and services to the insurance industry, announced Dr. Ta-lin Hsu has been named chairman of the board.

 He is the founder and chairman of H&Q AsiaPac, which led One, Inc.’s recent $16.7 million financing.

H&Q Asia Pacific is a private equity firm that is a pioneer of venture capital and private equity in both the US and Asia. It conducts both later-stage control investments and earlier-stage venture capital investments, focusing on growth sectors including technology, technology manufacturing, consumer products and services, and financial services. Before that, he worked at IBM for 12 years. In his last position in senior management, he held corporate responsibility for all of IBM’s advanced research in mass storage systems and technology.

Hsu plays an active role in developing investment and technology companies, and holds advisory positions in government, academic and industry organizations, and has twice been recognized by Forbes Magazine as a top venture capitalist on their Midas List.
