Denis Murphy VP WW Sales, Nimble Storage

Murphy, Nimble StorageNimble Storage, Inc. announced that Denis Murphy has joined the company’s executive team as VP of WW sales.

 

 

 

He brings 25 years of hands-on sales experience and a track record of success in high growth environments, including EMC and Riverbed Technology.

He will lead a team of global sales leaders as the company doubles down on sales and channel routes-to-market to accelerate customer acquisition across the enterprise and cloud service provider segments of the market.

Denis brings deep expertise on scaling world-class sales organizations in hyper-growth companies, a track record of driving growth through rapid customer acquisition, and strong channel relationships. His experience is ideally suited to lead our continuing push into the enterprise and cloud service provider segments of the market,” said Suresh Vasudevan, CEO. “By adding Denis to our already seasoned sales leadership team, we are assured that we have the right team in place as we execute on our vision to emerge as the industry leader in flash storage solutions.

Prior to joining Nimble, Murphy, 50, served in executive sales leadership roles at Nicira, Inc. and Riverbed Technology. While at Riverbed, he served as senior VP sales for the Americas region, where he designed, developed and executed sales model and built a sales team focused on execution and customer satisfaction. Over his eight year tenure he played a pivotal role in growing Riverbed’s revenue base from $0 to $800 million. Prior to Riverbed, he served in sales and channel management roles at BlueArc Corporation, EMC and Mercury Interactive.
