David Smith VP Sales and Marketing, Tenzing

An industry veteran with both managed services and e-commerce experience, he will oversee the operations and growth of the sales and marketing organizations.

With experience in both managed services and e-commerce, the addition of Smith to the Tenzing executive team reaffirms the Tenzing’s commitment to e-commerce. As the former director of channel partnerships at e-commerce vendor Elastic Path, and VP of partner sales at cloud backup and recovery platform Asigra, Smith has experience in both managed services and e-commerce. His channel experience will allow him to further the organization’s commitments to their system integrator and platform partnerships. Before this, he enjoyed success at a number of software companies, including Platform Computing, PureEdge Solutions, Hummingbird and SAS. He started his career working on the IT side of house as a developer, analyst and ultimately IT manager, at both Imperial Oil and Canadian Tire, and earned an MBA from Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto.
