Colin Wright VP of EMEA Sales, Altaro

Came from companies including Veeal, MTO Europe and Atlantis Computing.

Altaro Software, in virtualization backup solutions for Hyper-V and VMware, announced its plans to further expand its business across Europe.

altaro,wrightThe European commercial team will be headed up by Colin Wright, who has been appointed as the company’s VP of EMEA Sales. Colin will be responsible for executing Altaro’s go-to-market strategy in EMEA, growing the company’s reseller partners across the region and increasing sales of Altaro utilizing a strong Channel driven model.

 

With a significant portion of our 30,000 customers from the UK, Germany, Austria and other European countries, we felt that the time was right to invest in our European operations by appointing a seasoned sales professional with a proven track record of commercial success within Europe,” commented co-founder and VP of WW sales and marketing Stephen Chetcuti Bonavita.

Wright has more than 20 years’ experience working in the technology sector, with a track record for growing a number of virtualization and cloud companies. He has created successful EMEA sales operations for a number of software companies, including Veeam, Vizioncore, Scriptlogic and Embotics. Prior to that, he held a number of sales management roles at Citrix. More recently, he was business unit director (virtualisation, VDI, cloud) at MTI Europe, head of desktop virtualisation sales at 2e2 and senior channel director at Atlantis Computing Inc.
