Hitachi Consumer Electronics Assigned Two Patents

Optical information reproduction, information recording

Optical information reproduction
Hitachi Consumer Electronics Co., Ltd., Kanagawa, Japan, has been assigned a patent (9,373,352) developed by Hosaka, Makoto, Tokyo, Japan, for a “optical information reproduction apparatus and optical information reproduction method.

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: ”An optical information reproduction apparatus using holography can appropriately correct an angle and a wavelength of a reference beam in a direction perpendicular to multiplexing while data is reproduced. In the optical information reproduction apparatus which reproduces information from an optical information recording medium by using holography, an angular error signal in the direction perpendicular to multiplexing of the reference beam is generated by using a signal detected by a light detecting unit. A perpendicular angle adjustment element adjusts an angle of the reference beam in the direction perpendicular to multiplexing, based on the angular error signal. A wavelength error signal is generated from a signal detected by the light detecting unit, and a wavelength is adjusted based on the wavelength error signal.

The patent application was filed on December 10, 2012 (14/649,327).

Information recording
Hitachi Consumer Electronics Co., Ltd., Kanagawa, Japan, has been assigned a patent (9,336,811) developed by Matsuda, Takahiro, Chigasaki, Japan, for a “information recording apparatus, information reproducing apparatus and recording media.

The abstract of the patent published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office states: ”An apparatus for recording information in an optical-information recording media by holography includes a signal-light irradiation unit, a reference-light irradiation unit, a reference light angle adjustment unit, and a positioning unit for positioning irradiation positions of the signal light and the reference light. The optical-information recording media is divided into N, (N.gtoreq.2) recording regions, M multiplexed information can be recorded in the respective recording regions by the reference light angle adjustment unit which changes the angle of the reference light at M angles, (.theta..sub.1, .theta..sub.2, . . . , and .theta..sub.M) corresponding to a multiplexing number, M.gtoreq.2, management information for the M multiplexed information is multiplexed and recorded in the same recording region as a-th information, (1.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.M) with a reference light angle .theta.a, and the management information on all the N recording regions are recorded at a common reference light angle.

The patent application was filed on March 18, 2013 (13/845,491).
