Spectra Logic in Partnership With Veeam

From Gartner Data Center, Infrastructure & Operations Management Conference 2014, Spectra Logic Corporation announced a partnership with Veeam Software, Inc. to offer customers and partners an alternative to their backup and data protection needs.

The service offerings, available for Spectra Logic T-Series tape libraries, Spectra nTier Verde disk appliance and combined Veeam Availability Suite v8 addresse data growth in the modern data centre.

The collaboration provides another option when evaluating a backup environment. Now data applications are available to all stakeholders every minute of every day. Companies can avoid data loss by enabling recovery time and point objectives of less than 15mn for all data and applications and can facilitate offsite data protection. Combining T-Series tape libraries and nTier Verde disk appliance with Veeam Availability Suite v8 supports the 3-2-1 backup rule by, keeping three copies of your data on two types of media, and one copy offsite for DR purposes.
