RackWare Joins NetApp Alliance Partner Program

And with IBM to integrate hybrid cloud management solution

RackWare, Inc., a software provider that integrates data center and cloud resources into a scalable and intelligently managed computing environment, announced its membership in the NetApp Alliance Partner Program.

RackWare is collaborating with NetApp and IBM Corp. to integrate their hybrid cloud management solution, RackWare Management Module (RMM), with IBM and NetApp technology. With this partnership, customers will be able to get the benefits of cloud migration and DR for legacy, as well as cloud applications.

Launched in July, the latest version of RMM solution now includes added cloud DR functionality. RMM 3.0 lowers the cost of DR, allowing enterprises to ensure protection of mission-critical IT resources in case of planned and unplanned outages. With RMM 3.0, partners will enable customers to extend existing IT architecture into the cloud for minimal disruption.

RMM software product enables enterprises to leverage cloud environments as an extension of their internal environments without having to change applications or OSs. By integrating with IBM and NetApp technology RackWare allows enterprises to expand their internal NetApp environments to IBM’s cloud platforms that are using NetApp storage.

The NetApp Alliance Partner Program provides qualified infrastructure and application providers with access to NetApp solutions, software development kits, technical support, training, certification, product information and marketing and sales assistance. Customers benefit by having access to partner solutions that have been tested to work with NetApp storage.

The news comes at the heels of RackWare’s recent announcement regarding the opening of its new Channel Partner Program to service providers and VARs. RackWare has made momentum with partners including CenturyLink, Inc., QTS, Peer 1 Hosting, OnRamp, Pea Soup, Entisys and MBS Tech Services.

We are delighted to partner with IBM and NetApp to allow enterprises to use our cloud DR/migration offering to protect legacy, as well as cloud applications,” said Sash Sunkara, CEO, RackWare.

We are pleased to partner with RackWare because of their unique DR capabilities that allow enterprise customers to perform simple DR on both legacy complex workloads as well as modern cloud workloads,” said Mac Devine, IBM distinguished engineer, director, CloudFirst innovation and CTO, IBM’s cloud services division.

We looked at several migration solutions and chose to partner with RackWare because of their ability to simplify the process of migrating complex enterprise applications,” said Bill Heffelfinger, CTO, NetApp-IBM global alliance.
