PernixData Joins Dell Technology Partner Program

PernixData, Inc, in server-side storage intelligence, has become a certified technology partner in Dell Technology Partner Program.

By certifying FVP software on Dell PowerEdge Servers and Storage, PernixData enables customers to create a decoupled storage architecture that maximizes VM performance while minimizing IT costs. This certification complements numerous initiatives between Dell and PernixData, who continue to evolve the way storage is designed and architected in virtualized data center.

FVP software puts storage intelligence into high-speed server media, establishing a control point for optimizing application performance and managing data center operations with true scale-out growth. Customers can leverage any storage platform for capacity, such as Dell Storage SC Series, PS Series and MD Series array, to create a decoupled storage architecture that maximizes design flexibility while minimizing storage costs. In addition, FVP software can be deployed on any server platform, in conjunction with any high speed server media. This makes it a complement to Dell’s PowerEdge family of servers.

According to recent momentum figures summarizing PernixData’s record setting first fiscal year, approximately 50% of FVP deployments to date are on Dell PowerEdge Servers, with approximately 30% of customers using FVP software in conjunction with Dell PS Series storage.

Vendor Certified
In addition to numerous field deployments, the two companies have undergone various efforts to ensure integration between FVP software and Dell servers and storage.

PernixData has also added Dell PowerEdge Servers and Dell Storage to the company’s PernixData Proven Design (PPD) program, whereby various reference architectures, design guides, and solution briefs exist to aid customers in the deployment of PernixData and Dell solutions.

Flexible Routes to Market
FVP software is available for resale through Dell as part of the company’s Software & Peripherals (S&P) program. In addition, it is certified by Dell for interoperability with the company’s PowerEdge servers and storage as part of Dell’s Technology Partner Program (TPP).

In addition, FVP software is available for purchase through numerous joint Dell solutions providers.
