Paragon Software Expands OEM Agreement With Idealstor

Paragon Software Group Corp., in data protection and embedded cross-platform file-access technology, announced its backup and DR (BDR) solutions have been selected by Idealstor LLC to expand the capabilities of key Idealstor products including its removable drive and backup appliances.

Building upon an existing OEM agreement between the two companies, Idealstor is turning to Paragon to deliver BDR solutions for its customers worldwide.

Effective immediately, Paragon’s HDD Manager (HDM) is being offered in combination with Idealstor’s storage solutions including its Bantam removable disk backup system for SOHO customers, and the Teralyte backup offering for SMBs. In addition, Paragon Protect & Restore technology is being integrated with the Idealstor Backup Appliance, a scalable system designed for large business and enterprise customers.

Featuring an all-in-one backup, disaster and system optimization solution, Paragon’s HDM application ensures that servers and workstations run at peak performance. PPR provides fast backup and recovery capabilities, with hypervisors (e.g. ESX) for agentless backups, while also performing VM replication and instant restores.
