New Partners for SwiftStack

Avere, Mirantis, Tata Communications and Vizrt

SwiftStack, Inc. announced that Avere Systems, Inc., Mirantis, Inc., Tata Communications Ltd. and Vizrt Ltd are delivering solutions for their customer bases by integrating and reselling SwiftStack object storage with their latest offerings.

This follows the collaboration with Cisco Systems, Inc. announced at CiscoLive this summer to enable enterprise customers to build public cloud storage capabilities into their on-premises data centers. These partnerships go beyond compatibility and certification, offering customers integrated solutions to meet the most challenging application demands in data centers.

With object storage from SwiftStack, our customers can now have all of their media active, which is a huge advantage to those users trying to get the most of their media asset management systems,” said Ximena Araneda, EVP, media workflows and playout, Vizrt. “The ability to start small and then expand to petabyte-scale implementations makes it easy to integrate into existing Viz One workflows with enterprise functionality and ongoing cost savings.

We are offering our customers an integrated solution that combines the simplicity of our existing NAS with the cost efficiency of object storage from SwiftStack in a way that does not require any changes to applications or workflows, which is a great selling point,” said Jeff Tabor, senior director of product management and marketing, Avere. “Combined with FXT Edge filer technology, we are providing a stepping stone to object storage for our customers, transforming existing environments into cloud-aware infrastructures to accelerate performance and hide latency.

Our goal  in building our IZO Cloud Storage was to offer unlimited storage capacity in Tata Communications’ owned and associated data centres in India, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UK,” said Vikram Balimidi, director of product marketing for data center, cloud, and security services, Tata Communications. “Integrating SwiftStack into our offering enables the end-to-end management of data over the Tata Communications global network.

Similar to Mirantis, SwiftStack is a leading contributor in the OpenStack community, making their object storage product a strong choice for our customers,” said Kamesh Pemmaraju, VP of product marketing, Mirantis. “Offering SwiftStack gives Mirantis customers access to a turnkey object storage product that is native OpenStack as they build their private clouds.

“We are pleased to work with technology companies to go beyond compatibility and genuinely integrate SwiftStack into their solutions to address specific use cases for their customers in a differentiated way in the marketplace,” said Don Jaworski, CEO, SwiftStack. “Our design center is rooted in freedom of choice, enabling those integrating our technology to use any preferred hardware to offer software-defined object storage for applications supporting either the AWS S3 or OpenStack Swift APIs.
